This position will be responsible for the day-to-day duties supporting the Negotiations Department including but not limited to Creditor interaction for the purpose of debt resolution payments. This position will require attention to detail as well as application of policies and procedures. Good judgment and the ability to communicate effectively are of primary importance for this position.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Primary duties consist of the management of the daily queue to manage all check by phones to the creditors for the primary result of debt resolutions.
  • Exercises discretion and independent judgment with respect to the database updates and Good News Letters to our clients.
  • Make payments to creditors via email.
  • Work with bank to have physical checks created for creditors who do not accept check by phone payments.
  • Perform data input and updates into database.
  • Communicate via US mail or email to our clients to keep them informed of all completed resolutions.
  • Work with creditors to address recalls, returned payments, misapplied payments and other.
  • Work with the Settlement Problem Liaison to ensure recalled accounts are resolved in a timely manner.

Job qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in the Customer Service/Collection field.
  • Customer/Creditor focused/friendly attitude and sense of urgency.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills for communication with all levels of staff.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Must be able to stay organized while working on multiple tasks.
  • Proficient knowledge of PC skills in the Microsoft product line including: Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Some College.
