United States Organizations for Bankruptcy Alternatives Elects San Mateo Exec to Board

SAN MATEO, Calif., June 2005 – The United States Organizations for Bankruptcy Alternatives (USOBA) has elected Andrew Housser, co-CEO of Freedom Financial Network in San Mateo, to its board of directors.
USOBA is an independent trade organization that works to protect consumers through bankruptcy alterative education. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., it is the only debt negotiation trade organization that does not commingle its message with other financial services.
As a founder and executive of San Mateo-based Freedom Financial Network, Housser leads a USOBA member firm whose services offer a solid, ethical alternative to bankruptcy. Working directly for the consumer , the company negotiates directly with creditors, and offers an alternative to bankruptcy, credit counseling, and debt consolidation.
Housser's term, effective immediately, will include service on the USOBA's creditor relations committee. His election took place at the organization's recent spring conference in New Orleans.
Housser's election “demonstrates Freedom Financial's commitment to its clients and to the industry,” says Brad Stroh, co-CEO of the firm.
